DO YOU ACCEPT MY INSURANCE?

I am credentialed on over 30 insurance panels.

For this practice, however, private pay is the only form of reimbursement accepted.

It was has been my experience that while using your insurance may be cost-effective, it has the potential to affect both treatment schedules as well as create a number of limitations for the provider. By utilizing a private payment method, I am able to focus on actual care and treatement of all of my patients, instead of spending time on medical billing and insurance reimbursement issues. This allows for better care, more of an individualized approach with my full attention.

I also believe payment should never be a barrier to treatment. If you prefer to use your insurance, please request at the point of first contact. While payment is required on the day of service, I am happy to provide you with a monthly "superbill" to submit directly to your insurance for reimbursement. I am happy to discuss with you this option if needed.

Please note: my practice size is limited. When it reaches capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list.

I strive to work through waiting lists as quickly as possible without compromsing quality of treatment.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

You will receive paperwork via email prior to your initial consultation. Please complete all forms and either bring them with you for your in-person appointment, or send them back via email if you are being seen through telehealth. It is important to read through all of the information, including informed consent and the limitations of confidentiality. I will also go through this with you prior to the start of your appointment.

Be sure to have a complete list of all current medications you may be taking, as well as contact information for additonal providers (PCP, psychiatrist, etc) if you would like me to reach out to them for additional information about your case.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FIRST APPOINTMENT?

Our first appointment will be 60-90 minutes, and is considered a Mental Health Assessment (MHA).

For couples, we will meet individually for 35-40 minutes, and then come together as a group at the end of the appointment.

For families, I will take a detailed assessment of the identified patient (IP), typically via a parent or caregiver, then interview the child.

My goal: take a deep dive into your bio-psycho-social-emotional well-being to determine protective and risk factors, situations/issues that may be contributing to your current wellbeing, and determine if additional providers (i.e. psychiatric need) are necessary.

I *never* expect and/or require a patient to seek out psychiatric medication if they are unwillinging. We will work together to determine an optimal course of treatment if medication management is not an option.

At the end of the MHA, together we will set goals for treatment and discuss scheduling options. I will provide you with a Fair Estimate of treatment services and costs.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP CONSULTATIONS OR WORKSHOPS?

No, not at this time.

However, it is my hope to develop several groups, either in-person or via telehealth, to address the following issues:

  •  Emotional Regulation

  •  Lonliness

  •  Parenting Issues

  • Divorce/Separation

Please reach out via email if you are interested in any of these subjects, and I would love to put you on an interest list for future services.
